European Union has welcomed today's signing of commercial contract between Kosovo energy company KEDS and company, Elektrosever.
The EU has by means of a communique called this an important step towards full implementation of the Energy Guide.
“This is an important step towards full implementation of the Energy Guide, agreed on in June 2022 under the EU-enlightened Dialogue, enabling the implementation of the 2013 Energy Agreements and 2015”, EU spokesman Peter Stano has said.
“The introduction of this contract means that Elektrosever will begin providing electricity to the four Serb majority northern Kosovo municipalities. This will end the current unregulated practice”.
The EU has thanked all involved that made it possible and expects Kosovo and Serbia to quickly continue the implementation of the Energy Guide, as well as all other agreements within the framework of dialogue in the interest of normalisation of relations.
