Interior Affairs Minister Xhelal Svecla has expressed condolences over the death of police officer Rexhep Sejdiu during his duty at the Jarinje Fast Intervention Unit.
Svechla says the police official who died was committed and engaged in the fight against any criminality, especially in recent years in the north.
Police officer Rexhep Sejdiu will always remain in the minds of all of us who had the fortune to always meet him on the level of duty and colleagues who worked and served with him daily, writes Svechla.
The minister stresses that police Rexhepi a year ago resisted the 19-day deadlock in Jarinje.
His full post:
With deep sorrow, I have accepted the news of the life apart from the life of Police Officer Rexhep Sejdiu while in office at the Jarinje Fast Border Intervention Station.
Rexhep Sejdiu will remember him as a devoted and hardworking official engaged in combating any criminality, especially in recent years in our country's north as a member of the Fast Border Intervention Unit. Along with his colleagues, Rexhepi a year ago resisted the 19-day deadlock in Jarinje after arresting former police official Dejan Pantic.
Police official Rexhep Sejdiu will always remain in the minds of all of us who had the fortune to always meet him at the level of duty and colleagues who worked and served with him every day.
Express my heartfelt condolences to his family, his mother, his wife, and his children. All Kosovo Police colleagues for the loss of their member.
