Macedonian police and prosecutors have announced Sunday evening that they have found the lifeless body of Vanja Gjerchevska, the 14-year-old girl who had disappeared a week earlier in Skopje.
For this event, which has shaken the opinion in northern Macedonia, five persons are suspected, three of whom have been arrested by police and sent to the Criminal Court, which, together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, will come up with detailed information today.
By the Skopje prosecution, they have indicated that, in this case, the father of the murdered daughter is being questioned, without giving any details of his possible involvement in the event.
The tracking organs have reported finding another lifeless body in the city of Veles, believed to have been executed on the same day as 14 years old.
Police and prosecutors say both cases are linked, or carried out by the same authors.
After all-intensive measures and activities undertaken by police officials from the Internal Affairs Sector in Skopje, on December 3rd the lifeless body of minor V.G. which was reported missing in 27,11,233, was found in Skopje's district, while in the vicinity of Veles the lifeless body of P.Z. (74) From Veles, who was reported missing in 24,11,2023. Five persons, three of whom have been detained, are suspected of two cases, one is abroad, and another is being questioned“, said the prosecution's announcement.
According to police and prosecutors, the motive for committing murders is believed to be “for material profit“.
Similarly, in connection with criminal acts there has been found a burnt vehicle, the Cirroen type, and after expertise, material evidence has been provided for the involvement of prohibited persons, which after full documentation of cases will become a corresponding criminal co-ordination with the Public Prosecutor.
