Members of the European Parliament in Strasbourg have been warned Thursday not to drink water from bottles that have been served under suspicion that they are contaminated.
“You are required not to drink from any bottle in the European Parliament premises in Strasbourg”, the emergency message sent to thousands of staff members and politicians, writes Polytico.
The message also included a number of medical emergency in case “someone drank water”, and it also said that bottles of water had been sent to President Roberta Metsola's offices on Thursday.
The European Parliament's press service has said French authorities have been informed and the necessary controls are under way.
