Radev at a media conference after the meeting he held with the country's president, Vjosa Osmani, said Bulgaria is one of the first countries to recognise Kosovo's independence.
He also welcomed the efforts of the two sides to have trade between the two countries.
“We considered concrete steps in developing our relations in perspective. There is still room for future development between Kosovo and Bulgaria, as well as expanding the judicial basis for new agreements. I should welcome the efforts of the two sides to have trade between the two countries and not only do business but also produce. Bulgaria is one of the first countries since 2008 to recognise Kosovo independence”, he has said.
According to him, Bulgaria will continue to provide its assistance to Kosovo's membership in the Council of Europe.
“Bulgaria is one of the engines for the integration of all countries into the EU. We know how hard it is to develop these reforms in the field of justice”, he said.
