Blinken urges Israel to do more to protect civilians

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken today has held a telephone conversation with Israeli Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer, praising the Israeli security cabinet that agreed to allow more gas in Gaza.

He has also told the minister that more must be done to send humanitarian aid there, CNN writes.

Blinken has also told Dermer that the Israeli government must do more to protect civilians.

Meanwhile, Israel's security cabinet approved on Wednesday a minimum increase in the amount of fuel entering Gaza.
