Albania's president, Bajram Begaj, has come out with calls for Albanians in the Presevo Valley a day before elections in Serbia. Begaj has written that the elections are a very important moment for political representation and for protecting the rights of Albanians there.
The head of the Albanian state has said that only through participation in the elections can such a thing be achieved.
Albanian “Presevo Valley, Presevo, Medvedja and Bujanoc! Tomorrow's elections are a very important moment for your political representation and protection of your rights. Only through mass participation and selecting your candidates can you achieve this. Hoping in a process as democratic as possible, I encourage you to participate in the vote and select your favourite candidates who will represent you in the next Parliament”, Begaj wrote.
Similar calls have been made by Albanian diplomacy head Igli Hasani. Albania's top diplomat has invited Albanians there to put political interests aside and to have unity.
