Commercial banks in Kosovo have managed to secure high profits during the January-October 2023 period.
According to the recent Kosovo Central Bank report(BQK), for ten months this year from bank loans and other services, commercial banks have made clean profits of 141m euros or about 20m euros more than in the same period last year.
The interest rate for credit in October is estimated at 6.4 percent.
The value of loans from citizens in October has also reached 4 billion of 833.9m euros, while depositing 5 billion of 875.9m euros. In the Kosovo market, 12 foreign-owned banks operate there are 9.
Meanwhile, the clean profit of microfinancial institutions in this period has reached 14.5m euros. The interest rate on credit and equipment from microfinancial institutions was 19 percent in October.
