“Independent Kosovo is a temporary project”.
This statement by Lieburn Aliu, the minister of the Environment, Space Planning and Infrastructure, sparked strong reactions to public opinion.
According to Kosovo Institute for Justice Executive Director Ehat Miftaraj, this statement will be used by Serbia as an argument for states that are reluctant to recognise Kosovo.
“How scandalous are the statements of Minister Aliu, even more scandalous is the silence of Prime Minister Kurti and the Kosovo government, which allow such a minister to continue to remain in this position. In a democratic state and based on values that the country's Constitution represents, such a minister would have to be dismissed immediately. Also strange because we have no reaction from either the President's Office or the Parliament's Chief Parliamentary”, Miftaraj told Klakosova.tv. (sin.red. Miftaright's statement was made before the President's statement)
Miftaraj said that, in a criminal way, the minister's statements could hardly be classified as criminal acts against constitutional order because denying Kosovo's state in itself is not a criminal act.
He says he cannot constitute criminal acts a statement unless “concrete actions are taken that undermine or violate constitutional and judicial order in Kosovo”.
As long as, in terms of morality and ethics, every day that Minister Aliu stands in this position is a black spot for Albin Kurti himself and the central institutions of the Republic”.
Minister Aliu, on a TV show in T7, made that statement. Meanwhile, in a proposal for Clankosova.tv, Aliu said Kosovo is the transitional process towards joining Albania.
“E confirms that for me Kosovo, under the circumstances it is, with the Constitutions and these things, is a temporary project. It's a transitional process towards joining Albania. Further clarifications are made together when I return to Kosovo”, Aliu told Clankosova. tv
For Ali's statement, the country's prime minister, Albin Kurti, said he was notified by his spokesman, Koryeziu, as he said his statement was made during a festive show.
“told me that it was a show, let's say festive, on the days of the Flag and Independence Festival, November 28,”, Kurti said during a visit to Gjilan.
For his statement, there were numerous reactions, both from political spheres and from citizens and political analysts.
