Albanians and Swedes pay their respects for Liridona before the coffee she worked on

Fetah Bahtiri, Albanian professor who lives for over 30 years in Udevalla, Sweden, in the town where Liridona Ademiaj lived, says Albanians there have been deeply shocked at the loss of Liridona. And according to him, her children will soon be taken over by the Swedish state.

Hundreds of Albanians and Swedes in Udevalla, Sweden, where Liridona Ademiaj has lived have paid tributes to Liridona. In front of the victory where Liridona worked, they have placed flowers and many candles, while also expressing great pain for her family in Kosovo.

Bahtiri said that in that city he said they were deeply shaken by the murder of Liridona.

The murder of Liridona was too terrible for all of us Albanians living here. The owner of the victory where Liridona Ademiaj worked, Bucki Sahini, has organized a reminder moment there, which they call “Memory Key”, and there we have gathered many Albanians to remember Liridona. There were also many Swedes who joined our home. He was also Deputy Jacobson, who expressed his condolences and was deeply moved because Liridona was known by all. There is no one who may have known any bad words from her... numerous flowers and candles were lit all night there”, he said.

Bahtiri has spoken about this event in an interview for a show with fellow countrymen on Radio Kosovo.

He said he is a good connoisseur of the laws in Sweden since he has been an official translator for many years in Sweden and pointed to the possible procedure of caring for the children of Liridona Ademiy from the Swedish state.

In the concrete case those children should return to Sweden without delay. I was an authorized translator and had a lot of experience with such situations. These children are not allowed in their mother's disaster. Returning to the Mursel family is a matter and a matter buried, not left there anymore. After an investigation of circumstances and the service of the Swedish social has decided where to decide. You don't put them in the institution, but you put them in a family. The state pays that family to take care of them. That family may be Swedish, and it may be Albanian, but that family should be clean in all aspects”, he stressed.

Setting up a new Swedish family can lead children to forget the whole Albanian language. As you can change your last name, according to Bahtir.

Their judges may visit if social service allows them to. Even the name and surname could be changed, if they grow up in a Swedish family, because there have been several cases, right here in Udevalla, and there have even been cases among Albanians”, says Professor Bahtiri.

Liridona Ademiaj was killed on November 29th under unknown circumstances. For this case, three suspects have been arrested and are currently in custody for a month, and its main suspect is its host, Naim Murseli. / RTK/
