Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq has responded to NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg regarding the deployment of the Serbian Army on the border with Kosovo. While Stoltenberg has told him that placing the army near the border with Kosovo does not help, Vuciq has replied that “where we deploy our army is our business”.
These statements Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq, chief of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, were exchanged after the joint meeting at a news conference. Vuciq has said that the Serbian Army has never surpassed its competencies.
The Stoltenberg tour during the conference has said forming the Association of Serb majority municipalities from Kosovo is key to normalising relations.
He has declared that NATO is willing to maintain peace and security in Kosovo, adding it accounts for all sides to reduce tensions.
“Mazi expects strengthening co-operation, Vuciq and I discussed tensions in Kosovo and the importance of KFOR. We will continue to maintain security in Kosovo within KFOR. NATO is ready to maintain peace. Gathering the Serbian Army near the border with Kosovo does not help. I welcome close co-ordination between Serbia's military and KFOR. I count on all sides to reduce tensions. I support formation of Association, that would be the key to normalization”, Stoltenberg stressed. /Time/
