Interior Minister Jedal Svecla reports that so far the number of those arrested for armed robbery at a jewelry store in Suhareka has gone to 8. He said the police are looking for another person, involved in this case.
He claims that crimes will not go unpunished and that the criminal's “location is prison”.
The same has congratulated the police who were seriously injured.
His full response:
A week ago our country was terrorised by an armed robbery by masked persons in the centre of the town of Suhareka, where a police official was injured and a wounded.
Such acts are absolutely unacceptable, and the only answer to such criminals is bringing them to justice. For this, I have offered my full institutional support to the Kosovo Police, as well as have asked for maximum commitment in this case.
Today, I have been reported that Kosovo Police after an investigative intensive work has located robbers and carried out their arrest operation. One of the suspects has shot officials by wounding a police official and thereby neutralising. Eight people have been arrested so far, while police are looking for the other person involved in the case. The two police officials who were injured and the official injured in response and the arrest of suspects in this case wish you a quick recovery.
The place of criminals is prison, and this is a clear and clear message that anyone who tries to destabilise security in our country for whatever reason. Crime will not go unpunished because the Republic of Kosovo will not allow it to become a place of uncertainty.
Order and law will prevail in every corner of it.
