President Vjosa Osmani has demanded that Serbia be held responsible for the attacks in northern Kosovo.
At a joint conference with NATO Secretary Jens Stoltenberg, Osmani said Serbia's conviction for previous attacks brought events to Banjska.
Serbia's responsibility must be addressed 29 May and 24 September. Instead of extraditing terrorists continues to support them. I warned that if the attackers of the troops in May were led by criminal gangs would end up unpunished, they would encourage more attacks. They are the same people who attacked NATO that attacked Kosovo police on September 24th”.
“If Serbia does not face any measures for these ongoing attacks, it will be encouraged to attack Kosovo and destabilise the Balkans. NATO's role in this direction is crucial, as Serbia remains a threat to peace in our region”, Osmani said.
Osman stressed that role NATO and KFOR are crucial to preventing and destabilising not only our country, but the entire region since according to Osman, Serbia remains a constant threat to peace and stability.
Kosovo's “Freedom is the result of NATO support as well. We are grateful for NATO soldiers who are contributing to peace and stability, but this peace has recently been seriously violated by Serbia.
Osmani further said that Kosovo's NATO membership is a strategic goal.
“Membership in the strongest coalition in the world is the strategic, existential and primary goal of the state of Kosovo. The development of Kosovo's membership process in this alliance would produce major consequences for security across the European continent”, Osmani added.
The country's president, Vjosa Osmani, has said that Kosovo is willing to preserve stability not only for itself, but for the entire region.
We're participating in the world's peace guard operations based on bilateral agreements. I strongly believe that our joint efforts will create the opportunity to preserve the opportunity for peace and stability not only for Kosovo, but also for the region”, Osmani has stressed.
