Ibrahim Jonuzi, chairman of the Trepca Mines Union, which is currently suspended, has warned union action in the event of failure to meet their demands and inadequate communication with government officials.
Jonuzi even said that in this case they would not withdraw until the realisation of the miners' rights because, he said, they would not allow treason against them.
“We'll coordinate with miners and we union, they've suspended us from the work relationship, since they've paralyzed us a little bit of efficiency or access or communication even inside. But we as unions never rule out syndical actions, because in this case, if we see the will, in this form, in this direction as it goes, we too will take on an organization, a strike, or a protester. We will not withdraw, we will demand until our rights are realised, we will not allow treason against us”, said chief unionian Jonuzi on the “Dayri” show in Tvv1.
With full responsibility I say that we as unions will take the burden that belongs to us. We won't leave the miners in the mud, and we won't rule out the strike, neither the protest nor the other forms that the law guarantees to us --x1>, he said.
Until he added that as a result of staying on the 10-day strike, a large number of miners who have sought medical assistance are already on medical leave.
Otherwise, the strike by Trepca miners ended on the 10th day after reaching agreement between miners and economy ministry officials.
The agreement was reached in late hours of the evening, when they were visited by VV deputies, representatives of the Trepca Company Board and the Ministry of Economic Development.
Otherwise, the latter were on strike with demands such as long-term execution of salaries, dismissal of the Trepca management, health insurance of miners, improved conditions and labour means.
During the strike, many had health problems.
Prime Minister Albin Kurti had not visited them during the days they were on strike.
As for this issue, the opposition in the Parliament had sought the adoption of a resolution in aid to miners, but was not supported by the majority.
