Prime Minister Albin Kurti hosted NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg's meeting today, where he discussed recent developments in the country, writes Periscope.

As the prime minister's office has announced through a communique for media Kurti has asked Stoltenberg to come up with conclusions of its independent investigations into the case of the criminal kidnapping of three Kosovo police officers and the terrorist attack on Zvecan Banjska.

“Speaking of the security situation, especially in relation to the permanent risk Serbia poses for it, it singled out the presence of 48 front bases of Serbian operations around the border with Kosovo and the anti-aircraft system near this border.

In this case, the prime minister listed Serbia's military systems, including the modernised missile system “FK-3” and “Pancer S1”, as well as other missile systems “Neva M1T” and “Kub M2 (SM)” of the Serbian Army's 250 Army Brigade. He said the system The FK-3 is the Chinese missile system, with which in 2022, Serbia became the first country in Europe to operate with Chinese weapons, including combat fears CH-92. He added that Serbia's Armed Forces have also established a separate unit for monitoring fears, which as a unit operates within the 63rd Brigade of Serbian Army Paraschutists”, it is said in communiqué.

“Prime Minister Kurti requested from Secretary General Stoltenberg close co-operation with NATO for peace and security.

He said that since last year was described with barricades set up by criminal groups aimed at opposing the order and law (July 2022), this year was a year of violent attacks on rule-of-law institutions, local and international, such as the case of 26 May and 29 May, then the kidnapping of Kosovo police officers on June 14th, and which culminated with the 24 September aggression that violated state sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national security (4)x0>.

Regarding the latter, Prime Minister Kurti shared with NATO Secretary Stoltenberg, found by the process of investigating local security institutions in the case of the 24 September terrorist and paramilitary attack in Banjska, where the Kosovo Police Sergeant, Kosovo hero Africa Bulnjak, lost his life, but also on the case of the kidnapping of three Kosovo police officers within the territory of the Republic of Kosovo, on 14 June, confirming the direct involvement of Serbia's state. The prime minister said these two cases testify to the need to boost security especially along the border between Kosovo and Serbia, as he called on the Secretary for NATO to also come up with the conclusions of its independent investigations on the case of the criminal kidnapping of three Kosovo police officers and the terrorist attack on Zvejskani's”.

The meeting also discussed reports between Kosovo and Serbia, the process of dialogue mediated by the European Union, and the 26 October meeting with European leaders in Brussels. The prime minister announced the secretary for the prosperity of that meeting, and the government's position of the Republic of Kosovo changed the European-American plan for the road forward towards full and unconditional implementation of the Basic Agreement. In this case, Prime Minister Kurti once again underlined the importance of Kosovo's membership in the NATO Partnership for Peace Programme, as well as proposed opening a Kosovo diplomatic office in NATO”.
