The EU's emissary for Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, has drawn up a summary of his activity by the mediator in the negotiations process between Kosovo and Serbia.

Lajcak has written that he stayed in Belgrade at the beginning of the week after the visit he had made to Pristina. Discussions with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Serbian chief negotiator Petar Petkvoic say they were focused on continuing efforts to advance implementation of the Road to Normalisation Agreement.

It also says that the discussions in Kosovo have been on issues of importance within the dialogue, stressing the urgent need for solutions in preparation for the meeting of the chief negotiators.

In our conversations, I stressed that implementation of the Agreement should be progress on both sides in fulfilling their respective obligations, step by step parallel and based on the principle that both sides must do something to get something”, Lajcak wrote, Express reports.

The Slovak Emisar has also written about the meetings he had with the chief negotiators in Brussels. Lajcak has indicated they have discussed a number of issues, including Statti, the implementation plan, energy, signs, elections and missing persons.

He has said that progress has been made on several issues and that he expects a quick continuation of negotiations, indicating there is a plan for talks to continue in the coming days and weeks.

“Appointments were useful to make progress on a series of issues on our dialogue agenda, and I expect a quick continuation soon. So, I plan to continue the talks on the days and weeks ahead, ”, Lacjak has warned.

The EU's Emsari has also cited the meeting he had in Brussels with PDK chairman Memli Krasniqi.

I had a useful meeting with Kosovo opposition party leader Wednesday, PDK, Memli Krasniqi. We talked about the situation in Kosovo and the importance of progress in the dialogue on the road to Kosovo”, Miroslav Lajcak has said, among other things.
