Mitrovica's north woke up calm on Sunday.
This was after midnight a noise that disturbed the inhabitants of this area.
Police say after midnight they received information about two detonators north of Mitrovica.
Kosovo Deputy Director of Police in the North Veton Elshani disclosed about RTK that there was no damage to man or material.
We've received information about two detonators happening in this part of town, police have been in the city, but we haven't encountered any material harm in humans or material”, Elshani said.
Police inform citizens that they have no reason to worry and that the whole north is under control of the security institutions of the Republic of Kosovo.
Even if such explosions occur, even if they occur with hand grenades, whatever kind of explosion we have enough human capacities to deal with, so there is no need to worry people”, Elshani added.
In the past two months, the situation in northern municipalities has been largely calm. Serbian citizens have expressed great interest in changing illegal plates to those RKS, as well as equipment with Kosovo state passports.
