A Jordanian plane has aired vital medical equipment and food at a field hospital in the besieged Gaza Strip on Sunday evening, about two weeks after the war between Israel and Hamas began.
The news was confirmed Monday morning by Israel itself and Jordan.
Israel's military said on Monday it was “co-ordinated with Jordan for it to supply from the air a field hospital at the Gaza Strip.
“over the night, in co-ordination with the IDF [Israel Protection Forces), a Jordanian plane dropped medical equipment and food from the air at the Jordan Hospital at the Gaza Strip”, the Israeli Army said in a communiqué.
According to her, medical equipment will be used by medical staff for patients.
Meanwhile, Jordan's king, Abudallah II, said Monday morning that his country sent an emergency medical assistance “to the field hospital.
It's our job to help our brothers and sisters hurt in the Gaza War. We will always be near our Palestinian brothers”, he said.
Israel has surrounded Gaza's belt and control what enters it and what emerges from it. Weeks ago, agreement was reached on allowing humanitarian aid to be introduced through the Gaza crossing with Egypt, Rafah, but in limited quantities.
The war between Israel and the Palestinian militant group Hamas began on October 7th, after Hamas carried out attacks in southern Israel's cities, killing 1,400 people, mainly civilians, and kidnapped more than 240 people.
