International Agreement vote, Denmark seen as problematic in content

A series of international agreements succeeded in adopting Thursday, as the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo agreed to enable power to pass them. However, not all agreements received the necessary votes, as some were postponed for future sessions. Among them, one who has been greatly commented, is likely to fail altogether.

The charges of counteracuza were made on international agreements, which had been waiting months to get the necessary votes in the Assembly.

But Thursday's session brought peace between power and a part of the opposition, passing some of them on.

The first agreement that has been approved is that of “The rehabilitation of the 10B<x1 line.

After that, the Assembly has also approved the credit agreement and the Project Development of the Energy Sector V project. II ) upgrade transmission network.

Similarly, the Credit Agreement has been adopted between the Republic of Kosovo and the European Bank for reconstruction and development for the “solar Ntrochre of Pristina” project.

The MPs' vote has also received the agreement to co-finance high-school scholarships at the master's level between the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation and the French Embassy in Pristina.

The Assembly has also voted the Agreement on support for sustainable development of the agriculture sector in rural areas through diversification of activities.

But, the Treaty between Kosovo and Denmark was not put to the vote for the exploitation of the correctional institution in Gjilan with the aim of executing Danish sentences, following numerous disputes between Justice Minister Albulen Haxhiu and MPs, mainly from the Democratic League of Kosovo.

That this agreement is problematic in content and discussions are rightly extending and says Arber Thaci from the Kosovo Democratic Institute.

According to him, nearly the only positive thing from it is the cost Kosovo benefits.

The positive priorities of this agreement, the only thing that can be assessed, is the financial benefit that Kosovo has from this treaty since it benefits close to 15m euros in the year”, Thaci has said.

In addition to the treaty with Denmark, three international agreements have not been put to the polls, as in the second half of the session there was no quorum.

The vote of international agreements was unblocked after eventually the AAK deputies gave up the vote, leaving the PDK parliamentary group the only one that continues to reject their vote and power initiatives.
