The number two of the Government of Kosovo and chief of the negotiating team, Besnik Bislimi, has said the elections in Serbia have damaged the dialogue process and are set to cause obstacles in the process.
Bislimi has said it brings uncertainty about how it will be continued in the talks.
Chief Prime Minister Bislimi has said Lajcak in co-operation with the parties will decide whether he needs a next meeting, even though according to Bislim Lajcak has said a special meeting is needed where the state of implementation of bilateral agreements would be discussed only by the dialogue process in Brussels.
“It is a fact that elections in Serbia have greatly damaged the process for reasons, even though they are designed to create instructions in the performance of the dialogue process. This then brings uncertainty about how we can move on. There are no options for future meetings discussed today, but I think that after consolidating our comments, the draft of Mr. Lajcak in co-operation with us will decide whether he needs an upcoming meeting, even though he has said at some point that a special meeting is needed where we would discuss only the state of implementation of past agreements from the negotiation process in Brussels”, Bislimi said in a proposal for Kosovo media Friday.
