EU: Waiting for Kosovo to Let Serbian Citizens Vote From Kosovo for Serbia Elections · Global Voices

The European Union has been declared regarding the failure to hold Serbia's parliamentary elections in Kosovo. spokesperson Peter Stano has said the EU recommends that the practice imposed on allowing Kosovo Serbs to vote in Kosovo for Serbia's parliamentary elections, expected to be held on December 17th. Stano said [...]
Stano has told Tanjug that it is not in the spirit of dialogue and principles of protecting the rights of non-US communities and building trust between Kosovo and Serbia.
According to him, the EU supports all efforts aimed at enabling Kosovo Serbs to participate in democratic processes.
“The EU recommends continuing the established practice of allowing Kosovo Serbs to vote in Kosovo during Serbian parliamentary elections on December 17th, with the relief of the OSCE. We expect Kosovo and Serbia to agree on the modalities that will allow this to happen, in trust and spirit of compromise. The EU supports all efforts aimed at enabling Kosovo Serbs to participate in democratic processes. As such, it is essential that Serb voters living in Kosovo can exercise their fundamental rights and cast their vote in the upcoming parliamentary elections”, he told Tanjug.
To allow the organisation of Serbian elections in Kosovo, Prime Minister Kurti has requested inter-state agreements, which, according to him, must be made at Serbia's request.
Such a request has not been made by Serbia, who have announced the Election Commission that elections will not be held in Kosovo as well.
