Customs defends over 35 thousand undeclared euros in Vermica

Kosovo customs has been seized at the border checkpoint in Vmica on top of 35 thousand euros undeclared.

According to Dogana, the money was hidden in the inside of the jacket, divided into five parts.

Undeclared monetary means of 35,200.00 Euros have been found as a result of the check. It has been noted that the money was hidden in the inside of the jacket, divided into five parts. To emphasize, the side for monetary means has presented no documentation concerning their background. In accordance with the law, a total of 8,800.00 Euros has been confiscated, representing 25% of the total value of monetary means. The rest of the monetary means has been banned until further procedures were completed”, the communique said.

The action is undertaken in line with the legal obligations and procedures of the Kosovo Customs Code, testifying to the customs institution's commitment to fighting illegal monetary means transport efforts on the country's territory”, it is now said.
