EU High Representative Josep Borrell said that at the NATO foreign ministers' meeting at the preliminary session, they have talked about the Western Balkans.

He said EULEX and KFOR will continue to co-operate to ensure stability in northern Kosovo, including the border with Serbia.

At this session we talked about the Western Balkans. You know how important the Western Balkans are for the European Union. Their stability, prosperity and adapting to foreign policy is very important to us. Let me stress the importance of co-operation between the EU and NATO in Kosovo in the north. Our Mission EULEX is positioned and has strong co-operation with KFOR and are facing difficult times. We will continue to ensure stability in this part of Kosovo and on the border with Serbia”.

He said EULEX is playing an important role in this direction and that it will continue to do the same.

Also, Borrell also had a call for Kosovo and Serbia to commit to the recently reached agreement.

“Call on Kosovo and Serbia to increase the will for agreement on their European path”.

Borrell said that even in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the EU and NATO must co-operate to maintain peace.
