Bie “Tennders' Dad”, sanctioned by the US for corruption, is excluded from Kosovo civilian service

Nexhat Krasniqi has been included in the US blacklist because of a large corrupt relationship in Kosovo, he had announced SERVED November 2023.
He was director of the Procuration Division at the Ministry of Infrastructure until that day. At MMPHI, the same day was suspended but returned to work a few days later. From the task of Procuration Division director, he was replaced as head of the Road Infrastructure Department, which was higher than the preliminary position.
Yesterday, the disciplinary Commission expelled him from civilian service as a disciplinary measure. The Online Reporter.net has secured the decision of the Ministry of Environment Discipline, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure.
“Considering Mr. Nexhat Krasniqi has been sentenced by the competent Court as a former prosecutorial officer in the Ministry of Trade and Industry for Corruption, we consider that this issue should also be addressed by the aspect of disciplinary responsibility, and for that it should be pronounced disciplinary measures because this actually represents violations of responsibilities and work tasks, and it has been violated submargraphy 7 of Article 56, bringing inappropriate behaviour that undermines Mr. Nexhat Krasniqi”, said in the Disciplinary Commission's decision of November 21st, 2023.

For sending Krasniqi's case to the Disciplinary Commission, Minister Lieburn Aliu has announced yesterday, as a major reaction from civil society was made to the MMPHI advance to sanctioning corruption by the US.
Nexhat Krasniqi, known as “Tennders' Dad”, has entered the US sanctions list with the reason he was involved in major corruption during the time he was director of the Procuration Department in the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
For the case for which it was sanctioned by the US, the Constitutional Court in Pristina had sentenced Krasniqi to 26 months in effective prison. After a complaint in Appeal, his sentence has been reduced to 18 months in prison on bail.
