Ashton has said that association is the result of one of seven questions laid out for Belgrade and Pristina under the dialogue.
According to her, it is important that the Serb community have a separate report with the institutions in Pristina and that the association has stemmed based on this and on the goal of eliminating the intervention of Belgrade in the north and that Belgrade is not part of Serbian structures in the north of the Republic of Kosovo, the transmission Express.
The “Association comes from one of seven questions I have asked Belgrade and Pristina in the dialogue. The question for Pristina was: To make Belgrade not intervene as they see it in Pristina, or that Belgrade is not part of structures in northern Kosovo, it is important that the Serb community have a special relationship with Pristina”, Ashton has told CoSSev.
Ashton has further said that the report between the Serb community and central institutions in Pristina could become especially important if they had a direct connection, at the moment when they would have problems.
At the European Act of Local Governance, the entire European Union can co-operate to provide services anywhere, which is part of European law. Therefore, they can make their relations especially important so that the Serb community has a direct and urgent connection with Pristina when it feels there is a problem”, Ashton has said.
