“St Stadium. Jacob-Park” in Basel last night was the epidex of our countrymen, who came to support the National of Kosovo not only from cities throughout Switzerland but from all European states, even across the Atlantic. I want to thank each one of them, who with heart and enthusiasm came to support our national boys. They became part of a match, which will no doubt remain in their memory, showing unquestioning solidarity and love for their country. With their presence and cheers, they created an imposing atmosphere in the stadium, which is rarely seen in football stadiums and at the same time became energy strength for our team, which despite numerous shortages and young players managed to make us proud of its appearance. I thank every Albanian who was in the stadium and proudly bore our national and state symbols, experiencing with us the emotions, hopes and feelings that football plays. Our countrymen are our greatest asset. They are state and national assets. Their presence, love, and devotion to our homeland are the most precious riches we have. I know we can't thank enough for their extraordinary contribution to Kosovo's freedom and statehood, but I want to convey my deep gratitude for creating such an inspiring and warm atmosphere for our players at Basel. And thanks to the tyfo-group, therdians, who in considerable numbers had traveled to Basel and how they usually showed high civic and sports values, as with their passion and voice, boys rely on the field at any moment of the game. Also, a special thanks to Kosovo media that with their professionalism reflected this football show and echoed the great support our diaspora gave to the National. I promise you that we will continue to be close to you and work hard to do our best for football and our country. Once upon a time, I hope these young men who gave their more than 100 per cent in last night's match against Switzerland will soon realise our joint dream of participating in major European and world football events.
