Nexhat Krasniqi, who was recently appointed to the position of Director of the Road Infrastructure Department at the Ministry of Environment, Space Planning and Infrastructure, has reacted to numerous criticisms of this appointment.
Following many accusations in his direction, Krasniqi has come up with a response on Facebook.
Krasniqi in his post said he does not know why the US has put him on the list of sanctions, since the 2005 case for which he was charged has already been tried.
I can even be inappropriate for America that I enjoy very much respect for. I don't know why because the case is 2005, which is a trial case. Amazingly I have signed contracts with the prestigious American company Bechtel in 2010 and 2014 for two highways, having very correct and professional reactions with them.”, he said initially.
On the other hand, he added that he has never been convicted of corruption and bribery.

What is the fact that you can verifiate in all the justice institutions of the Republic of Kosovo and the international ones, is this: In the Republic of Kosovo, where I live and work from birth, I've never been punished for corruption in my life or taking bribes. At the end of the post, Krasniqi clarified the 2005 case for which he was tried.
“As far as the 2005 case is being said to have misused my public position by accepting a bribe in exchange for granting a contract to allow industrial Park construction in the Drenas municipality of the Elton operating company, so that I can understand correctly by all I am publishing the Act of Eulex Court for this case .”
