The United States announced late Sunday that it would send a modern aircraft carrier, battleships and fighter planes east of the Mediterranean Sea and that it would provide Israel with additional equipment and ammunition.

At the Security Council meeting, Iran denied involvement in the attack against Israel, according to Reuters.
