Switzerland has no immediate plans to deploy additional Swiss peacekeeping troops to the Swiss mission in Kosovo, despite increasing tensions in the region and news that NATO is strengthening its KFOR peacekeeping force after a deadly shootout.
No Swiss contingent growth is planned after recent events, said the Swiss Armed Forces International Command (SWISSINT) for Keystone news agency - ATS on Sunday. Members of Swisscoy, a Swiss Army unit, joined by the NATO-led international peacekeeping force in Kosovo (KFOR), are contributing in different ways to the multinational peace mission.
