Days ago, doubts have been raised about the use of US military vehicles in training terrorists at military bases in Serbia. According to security connoisseurs, if this proves true, Serbia is expected to pay a high bill. The punishment, according to them, can be in many ways and will not be individual, RTK writes.
The US State Department confirmed the day before RTK that the United States takes seriously any claims involving equipment provided by the US worldwide. In the question of whether they have information about the possibility of misuse of military equipment donated as a donation to Serbia in 2017, a department spokesman replied that they are looking into the matter by not providing further details.
This response by the US State Department came after raising suspicions that Serbian terrorists, who attacked Kosovo's north on 24 September as Serbia's aggression against Kosovo, were trained at Serbian military bases in advance with American military vehicles called Humvee.
If this proves true, Serbia is expected to pay a high bill. The punishment can be in many ways and will not be individual, says security expert, simultaneously former AKI Chief Inspector Burim Ramadani.
Serbia's “state will be considered a non-serious state, not a loan, for the US and EU states. This is the first consequence, and then organisedly the Serbian state will also be imposed military sanctions on military equipment and military communication and co-operation. In an individual state with state, I believe this event will affect the disruption of military exercises, joint military and defence projects, as well as joint planning in the future”, he stressed.
Giving in the use of military means for legitimate purposes and using them for terrorist acts against another state will penalise Serbia in some respects, the Kosovar Centre for Security Studies say.
The arms issue, months ago, has also raised concern for the chairman of the foreign policy commission in the British Parliament, Alicia Kearns.
It has urged Britain to ban the sale of arms to Serbia after raising concerns that weapons were being smuggled through ambulances in Orthodox monasteries.
