Economy Minister Artane Rizvanolli has said that the Kosovo government will no longer pay the electricity in the north for the four Serb majority municipalities, saying the Elektroserver operator must sign the agreement, based on the guides that the Kosovo and Serbian sides have agreed to.
At a media conference, Rizvanolli said that when the 100-day deadline was passed last year, as the guide determined, the government has not shared tools.
“We have said with that case that the last payments to be made from Kosovo's budget will be in place by the deadline for implementation of this agreement. We've had continuous demands from COSTs since then, but we haven't shared additional resources as governments. We have made it clear to all sides that such a way of functioning cannot continue” Rizvanelli told reporters.
According to her, even local operators such as COST, KED, or ZRE have performed their duties, but according to Rizvanol, it is the other side that has been playing and sabotaged.
With the request of the mediators we have continued to discuss concerns, clarify and so on. But without making additional compromises or changing this agreement. And we've made it clear that the last version of the contract already sent to the Elektroserver, a few months ago, is the last version of the deal that must be signed by those”.
Minister Rizvanolli has indicated that during yesterday's KEDS has submitted the latest request for Elektroserver signing, and in this case the Kosovar side expects the signing of the agreement to take place very quickly within days.
