At a press conference, police chief Gerhard Perstl said investigators had found online posts for the so-called “Vigilja for Palestine” in a central square in Vienna, which accompanied Hamas' symbols and slogans. The official stopped the rally, saying it was a necessary “size” because there were “risks to public safety”.
Members of the Jewish community in Austria are expected to gather tonight in a square located a short distance from where the pro-Palestinian event was planned.
