Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani, under the two-day official visit to Croatia, has met with Croatia's prime minister, Andrej Plenkovi.
In relation to recent developments in Kosovo, President Osmani has stressed that on September 24th, in Banjska, Serbia has carried out terrorist attacks and acts of aggression against Kosovo in order to annex Kosovo's north and destabilise the entire region. Therefore, in this context, President Osmani has highlighted the importance of holding Serbia responsible for its act of aggression against the Republic of Kosovo.
President Osmani has stressed that in order for peace to be possible in the region, Serbia must withdraw military troops from the border with Kosovo, because it poses a danger to peace and stability. Furthermore, she has also discussed the evidence gathered by Kosovo police that directly connect Serbia to this attack, as well as the co-operation of security institutions with our allies in order to prevent Serbia's destabilising agenda.
At this meeting, President Osmani has, among other things, thanked Prime Minister Plenkov for the contribution of Croatian soldiers to the KFOR mission in Kosovo and bilatheral co-operation in the field of defence between Kosovo and Croatia as they discussed the possibilities for deepening co-operation in this area.
President Osmani has stressed that Kosovo has the state priority of NATO membership, even because of the security challenges facing our region, already the importance of advancing with the country's membership in the Council of Europe and the European Union, as well as other international bodies.
