Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has said there must initially be sanctions against Serbia, then start with dialogue, at the European leaders' summit in Spain.
Osmani has stressed that there are no confirmed meetings with leaders, but that he hopes the September 24th attack on Banjska will speak at the open summit for all of them.
We don't have separate confirmed meetings, but I'm sure I will get the chance because most of the discussions on this summit will take place until we're all in the room, so I hope I have the opportunity to discuss these”, she added.
Osmani has also expressed optimism about Spain's attitude towards Kosovo and the condemnation of Serbia's actions.
“Spain is a state contributing to peace and stability across the continent, I hope they will realise that supporting an aggressor for whom there is clear evidence from September 24th will not help peace and stability. I hope Spain will follow the line of other states to take action against Serbia for this act that it has committed not only to Kosovo but also against the peace and security of the entire Europe”.
