Two Israeli tourists killed by a policeman in Egypt

Two Israeli tourists and their Egyptian guide have been shot to death in the Egyptian city of Alexandria, Israel's foreign ministry said.

A police officer allegedly opened fire on a group of Israeli tourists in the city. The officer is now in custody, reports say.

The TV channel Extra News also quoted an unidentified security official as saying another person was injured in the attack, reports the BBC, broadcast Klankosova.tv.

This is the first such attack on the Israelites in Egypt in decades.
