Havenier: Association must be made urgently but with limitations

The association of Serb majority municipalities must be made urgently.

So said Jeffrey Havenier, ambassador of the United States of America to Kosovo.

In an interview for prestigious American media BloombergHovernier said that the establishment of association is a modern US request.

According to him, the Serb community in Kosovo has a number of concerns, and association views it as a way to help address those requirements.

But, the US diplomat added that such association should not contain executive competence.

He said there must be limitations because he believes that without such restrictions, something that could become problematic or source of instability.

Jeffrey Hovenier also spoke about Serbia's aggression in Kosovo on September 24th, where in Zvecan Banjsk as a result of the armed attack, police officer Africa Bulnjak was killed.

The attack on question was led by Milan Radoic.

We are aware that he said he did it himself. We do not believe that this will be the final word for this matter”, he said.

“Work must continue to determine final responsibility”, the US diplomat stressed.
