Gorani: 24 September showed Serbian population not ready for any co-existence

So said journalist Dukagjin Gorani, On T7's Pressing debate show, Periscope:

What we've learned on September 24th is that not only Serbia but also the Serb population in the north is ready to air on terrorist shares, unless you live with us.

I have not seen any individual, no organisation, no society group in northern Kosovo, and it was the oath even in the south, that would at least protest an attack that has been a military attack on the state integrity of this country.

There is not a single attempt to record September 24th in a different way than the way we've been learning to listen for 24 years.

This, for me, is the great, sad defeat, with the prospect of living together, whatever with the Serb population, is minimizus up to unquestionable levels.

This brings us to a point, much more dramatic than it was.

I have tried to understand to some extent the frustrations of the Serb community in Kosovo, taking into account their privileged status over the past 100 years, and taking into account the loss, reducing them to a national minority in a new country, so I've tried to understand them, not more understood, but at least the best.

However, the events of September 24 played a face that I personally did not like to see, but I have a day that exists. However, in politics, there could be a session, but it didn't turn into public attitudes, because then they become official attitudes and you're treated according to them.

What I saw on September 24th is the willingness of the Serbian population, believed that the terrorist attack on our country was a liberation action.

This is so much trouble and sorrow that it directly intervenes in the structure, logic of any future political solution.

The association of Serbian municipalities, after September 24th, will naturally evolve into secession and secetion. The expectation that he evolves into autonomous territory, is more than rational expectations, now it is realistic. The expectation is that something like that is the first phase of a break.

We're dealing with a population that decided that our country, to interpret it as abusive, violating their rights and hindering their freedoms.

Among other things, we pay them the electricity, they don't know what's to pay taxes for the last 24 years. As far as you know, no direct violence has ever been done, and let alone systeamics and structured by police organs in order to intimidate.

What we saw on September 24th is a population that says, we attack your police first, rather than being interested in talking about any living thing.

This is a big problem, one that neither the international community nor Serbia, of which is now completely insignificant nor the political scene in Kosovo.

But when you take 24 hours to the market, which is impossible to solve, impossible to co-existence with Albanians, impossible to live with, and accept Kosovo, on the other hand, told us how impossible a state with association is, in the end it is impossible and impossible to be accompanied in reality.

Finally, through this kind of discussion, you produce a new reality which says so: these two communities can't live together.

Are we willing to start the discussion, as we wish, if we have two communities in our country that are unable to live together?

Maybe they're able to live only next to each other, but not together, and that's just a confirmation of the problem.

Now, which is becoming the addition of NATO troops, as you know, haven't troops asked us whether or not? I'm sorry, I'm sorry.

Does one of us have NATO itself, can we place a number of forces in Kosovo, since you are sovereign and independent?

We tell a reality about ourselves as a sovereign country and there's only one reality out there for everything, where decisions are made without even asking us while it doesn't bother us.

When it comes to NATO and NATO is not only an umbrella of security, since it is also a political organisation, since it is not led by the military, but politicians, the decision on troop deployment is deep political interference.

The growth of NATO forces tells of increased risklessness. The addition of NATO troops is good news, but the situation is bad. It is bad news because the risk of living in the region has begun to escalate.

If the return of international attention to Kosovo, in the context of security and risklessness, we risk not having clear political solutions, we risk the remaining status quo, especially in this situation after September 24th, since a community in the north is talking about you -- they've declared days of mourning, they've armed people, they've come and attacked our country.

If the West knows the obvious solution, it can be viewed as unbalancing. And the international community's goal to date has been not to promote perceptions that one side wins and one party loses something.

Today, the West can decide what it usually decides, and it is more consistent in the short term. This hurts us a lot.

With increased NATO forces and the consideration of Kosovo as a matter of security rather than political disagreement. Among other things, this has been brought by parties that have been in the process of dialogue, since none of them have gone to terms with solutions but to extension of power. /Periscope
