The Health Ministry in Gaza, led by Hamas, said the number of Palestinians killed since the war with Israel began on 7 October has exceeded 8,000.
This minister said on Sunday that the number of Palestinians killed has reached 8,005, including over 3,300 minors and over 2,000 women.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza is part of the government led by Hamas, but also includes doctors and civil servants who are not connected to the group.
The number of victims since the start of the war exceeds the number of victims registered by the United Nations, even by Israel's estimates. The Health Ministry in Gaza last week published the names and age of most registered victims and said some of the lifeless bodies have yet to be identified.
Over 1,400 people have been killed in Israel, mostly civilians during the Hamas attack in Israel on October 7th.
Since then, Israel has attacked from the land, air, and sea the Gaza Strip, where 2.3 million Palestinians live. / REL
