Yesterday, the Biden administration announced more than $3.75 billion military assistance to Ukraine and countries affected by the Russian invasion.
The Italian newspaper La Repubblica said Talo condemned the Russian invasion in his conversation with Sullivan HINA and confirmed readiness to offer additional assistance.
Sources said this was particularly about “supporting Ukraine's energy stability and military equipment”.
It was added that Washington had specifically asked Rome to supply Ukraine with the Italian-French air defence system SAMP/T.
