Walker: I'm writing the book about Rebecca before I go to the next world.

Former OSCE Ambassador to Kosovo William Walker said that <x0liber for the Recak massacre I am writing and trying to finish it before I go to the next world”. Those comments, Walker made after the Kosovo government allocated 70 thousand euros for publication of the book. And that's interesting.
Those comments, Walker made after the Kosovo government allocated 70 thousand euros for publication of the book.
“Interesting dogs, I have heard”, said Walker when asked about sharing these funds, until he said he would leave for Kosovo to participate in the January 15th memorial date for Recak Massacre.
“will be a single book, descriptions of my experiences of events in Recak, that crime. It will be a summary of that”, Walker told Inseder.
Regarding the importance of publishing this book, William Walker recalls that Recak's massacre was the historic milestone that moved the entire North Atlantic Alliance to intervene in Kosovo against Slobodan Milosevic's genocide regime.
“The importance is that Kosovo is a new state in the center of Europe and I don't think it would have been done as it did if the Recak massacre hadn't happened and the international reaction hadn't been what it was, so powerful. It brought about the NATO war, which I think nobody was thinking at the time, which came mostly as a result of the reaction following the Recak massacre”, he said.
I think the Government in Kosovo and the people I've met over 23 years have always asked me if you would write a book on this important event, and that's exactly what I'm doing”, Walker said.
