Enis Osmani, currently political adviser to Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development Minister Faton Peci, has been sentenced to 1 thousand and 500 euros in fines since he pleaded guilty to for counterfeiting the results of the vote.
The prosecution against accused Osmani was proclaimed at the Constitutional Court in Mitrovica on Tuesday by Judge Beqman Beqiri
Initially, the accused Osman was sentenced to six months in prison, but with his consent and his defender, lawyer Sabit Plana, his prison sentence was replaced by a fine of 1,000 and 500 euros, in accordance with Article 44 of the Republic of Kosovo's Criminal Code.
While the penalty of fines at a height of 1,000 and 500 euros, the accused is obliged to pay him in the three-month term from the day of the integrity of the act.
If the same one does not pay the fine, then the court in terms of Article 43 penalty will be replaced by prison sentences, where each day of the prison sentence will be counted at 20 euros”, Judge Beqiri said.
Judge Beqiri announced to the parties that, against this act, they have the right to file a 15-day complaint from the day of the plea.
Otherwise, the accused Osmani at the January 23rd hearing had pleaded guilty to the criminal act “Forging the results of the vote” vote, adding that it could happen because of neglect and fatigue.
Otherwise, the Constitutional Prosecutor in Mitrovica on February 7th 2022 has filed an indictment against Enis Osmani, with the reasoning that on June 11, 2017, in the village of Bare ão Mitrovica, exactly at primary school “Jevat Jusuf”, defendant Enis Osmani at the polling number 1115B/02D for the Kosovo Republic Assembly, in the quality of the country's leading, misusing office, authorising or authorising with elections, has added to the candidates within the election.
According to the indictment, during their count, removing votes from some candidates and adding votes to several other candidates, incorrectly registers a total of 246 votes, 228 of them as added votes and 18 of them as votes removed, added 56 for PDK, 112 for LDK and 60 for LVVV and removed 8 for PDK and 10 for LDK.
