Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman Oleg Nikolenko has said the Croatian president's statement questions Ukraine's territorial integrity and that it is unacceptable.
If Zoran Milanovic could be president of his country with such a 90th rhetoric while Croatia struggled to preserve its citizenship? Would his voters agree to close their eyes to occupying a part of his country? I doubt it.
The Croatian president stated yesterday in Petrinji that “Krima will never again be Ukraine's, alluding that the international community has made a “precedent” such as Kosovo. He even went away, saying Kosovo was annexed, thus taking it to Serbia.
In his post, Nikolenko recalls that “Croatia could have lost a third of its territory because of external aggression” adding: “however, thanks to the heroic war, Croats managed to protect their country's independence”.
“think the statements of Croatia's president, who actually questioned Ukraine's territorial integrity”, the spokesman for Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed.
He concluded the announcement by thanking the Croatian “government and the Croatian people for their firm support of Ukrainians in the fight against Russian aggression”.
