Kiev says 111,000 and 170 Russian troops have been killed in Ukraine since Russia began the country's invasion on 24 February last year.
In the latest update on January 8th, Ukraine's General Staff said 430 other Russian soldiers were killed the previous day.
Regular update, which is usually higher than Western estimates, also says Russia had lost three tanks and three other artillery systems.
Early in November last year, senior American General Mark Milley said that he said about 100,000 Russian soldiers and about 100,000 Ukrainians had been killed or wounded in war - the highest figure ever mentioned by a Western official.
Kiev and Moscow have both been extremely careful in discovering any figures of victims since the war began.
Russia classifies military deaths as state secrets and has rarely updated its official death figures. / REL
