She said she expects justice and respect of international standards.
“Direction and respect of international standards: the aggressor was Serbia, we were attacked. And the KLA fought liberation wars to protect us. But we will by no means intervene in the work of the Court and we will respect the final decision”, she said.
She said the Kosovo Special Court could function as a model to try Russia's president, Vladimir Putin.
Even if many victims have not yet received justice, even if many criminals have remained at large, the Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia is based on the principle of individual responsibility, not collective guilt. If justice is not established in Ukraine or the Balkans, there is always the danger that these crimes will be repeated”, she said.
The trial of Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veselini, Rexhep Selimi and Jakup Krasniqi at the Special Court in The Hague is expected to begin in March.
