The EU's Ambassador to Kosovo, Thomas Szunyog, has met with the Commission for Development of the Vetting's Interim Rating Process in the Judiciary System.
He has reiterated the European Union's strong stance that any reform in justice should be made in full compliance with the opinion of the Council of Europe's Venice Commission and European standards.
That's how he made it known through a post in his Twitter account.
“Pate a good meeting today with members of the Kosovo Parliament Commission for Development of the Vetting's Interim Rating Process at Judiciary System”, it has written.
The “reiterated the strong position that any reform in justice should take place in full accordance with the opinion of the Council of Europe's Venice Commission and European standards”, he added.
According to him, the EU will continue to engage with Kosovo institutions on reform issues in justice.
The Kosovo government, on 13 October, had adopted the concept of self-defence in justice through which it aims to strengthen rule of law.
