Zekiaj, who is being investigated by the Prosecution in Mitrovica under suspicion of taking bribes from patients to conduct operations, has been appointed to the position of USKKUK Steering Board member in July last year by the Kurti Government at the time the MSH was led by Rifat Latifi.
Zekiaj and two fellow surgeons, Ekrem Sefiu and Edsim Latifaj, are being investigated after allegedly receiving money from patients to buy the materials needed for surgery, mainly nets and clipa.
The investigation has also confirmed the prosecutor's case to Fetije Bajrami in Mitrovica.
The Schneta newspaper has obtained several videos from a beacon at the Vushtrri Hospital that have whitened the evidence of patients and family corruption in the facility.
