Prime Minister Albin Kurti, at today's Government Meeting, has said that considering that the current situation with the energy issue could deteriorate, as well as energy import prices could mark up during this month and the following months, the economy ministry has proposed emergency measures in energy supply.

Economy Minister Artane Rizvanolli, in presenting the measures, said other additional measures could be undertaken depending on the situation.

“Since the electricity supply continues to have bursts linked to eventual growth expected during the end of February and March, especially with weather cooling throughout Europe. We propose emergency measures in energy supply, where, among other things, electricity use is prohibited for extracting cryptovatlutes, institutions such as KEDS, COST, the Ministry of Economy will take special measures for supply safety. The additional measures will be undertaken according to the needs and recommendations of the Emergency Technical Committee, as provided by law and administrative instruction”.
