Albanians turn out to be getting married less and less. Albania's Statistics Institute data (INSTAT) revealed that in 2021 a total of 19,7 thousand marriages were linked throughout the country.
Although marriage has increased by 12.7% (as of 2020, their numbers declined significantly due to restrictions), marriages remain lower in pre-ndemin ratio.
According to INSTAT, the number of crown ties in 2021 was 12% lower than in 2019 and 15% less than in 2018. With the exception of the pandemic year, 2021 is the period of lower marriages after the 1990s.
Life - style change, with its characteristic growth in married age (3-5 years more than in the early '90s, gradual population aging, and high youth migration are valued as the main factors that have contributed to this tendency.
According to INSTAT, the age of the population (the age that divides the population into two equal parts) was 38.2 years old in the early 2022, a significant increase compared to the beginning of the '90s, when the index was less than 30 years old.
In 2021, the average age in marriage for men was 31,2 years (3 years more than in the early 1990 ' s), while the average age in marriage was 27.7 years (approximately 5 years more than in the early 1990 ' s).
In 2021, the men's middle - aged circuit was Gjirokastra, at 33.6 years, while the circle of the lowest age in marriage for men was Durres, 30.5 years.
