According to a Kosovo Police Media Report, the car during the movement has hit the Kosovo Police vehicle, putting “directly at risk even the lives of police officials, who, in order to neutralise the risk against them, have fired”.

Order authorities said the suspects have left the scene, meanwhile, in addition to the investigation into the case. The PK has also announced the Police Inspector for further procedures.

Earlier in January 23rd, the director of the Office for Kosovo in the Serbian Government, Petar Petkov, said the injured M.D. He was transferred to the Kraleva hospital with emergency. According to him, Kosovo police units “have shot” the Serb vehicle “just because [they] did not want to allow police to mistreat without any basis and reason”.

According to Petkov, the wounded “have been shot on the left side of the chest and has gunshot wounds”.

From the hospital in Kraleva said the patient's condition is stable.

At the same time, Petkovic said that in the car, moving into the Mitrovica-Leposaviq magistrate, except for the M.D., there was also D.S, of the Serb community, which has suffered no injuries.

He reiterated that Kosovo Police Special Units “have nothing to ask for in northern Kosovo”.

Serbian List Seeks to Remove Special Units From North

From the Serbian List, the main party of Kosovo Serbs said that “brutal attacks” have provoked anger and indignation among citizens, “s which increasingly feel they must be protected from the criminal acts of [Kosovo Prime Minister Albin] Kurt and his dictatorial anti-Serbian regime”

This party demanded that Kosovo north have “immediate withdrawals of all Kurti's” special forces and those responsible for today's event be brought to justice.

We also stress that the continued presence of these formations can lead to a spiral of events that will irreverently threaten peace in these” areas.

This is not the first incident of its kind in the Serb-run north of Kosovo. Even in the past, Kosovo police have reported that there have been incidents involving vehicles suspected of carrying smuggled goods, but other attacks by police officials.

The January 23rd incident comes also a month after in northern Kosovo, for 20 straight days in last December, barricades were set up.

Local Serbs had erected barricades after a former Kosovo Police member was arrested. But, after changing the security measure from detention to domestic arrest for Dejan Pantiqi, local Serb groups removed barricades in northern Kosovo.
