“We have continued statements from European capitals and Washington that sending various weapons systems to Ukraine, including tanks, in no way include these alliance countries in the conflict in Ukraine. We in Moscow flatly oppose that. All those capitals and that alliance are doing, we consider them to be direct involvement in the conflict,” said Dmitry Peskov, spokesperson for the Kremlin.
This response is particularly addressed to US President Joe Biden, who specifically said military aid to Ukraine should not be considered “a threat” or “ofensiv” against Russia.
The Kremlin spokesman was not the only official in Moscow who dropped “on the warning” of a major war.
“The US and NATO have become parties to the conflict in Ukraine and are aiming to continue making efforts to prolong this military conflict. Even with the end of the heated phase of conflict in Ukraine, the Anglo-Saxon World will not stop its underground war against Russia and its allies,” said Nikolay Ptrusev, secretary of Russia's Security Council.
Meanwhile, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin did not directly answer the question about sending Western tanks to Ukraine, but stinged the Berlin and Europe government, saying that American invading troops still are in Germany. /a2cn
